Customer Reviews

Rob M., 2012 Honda NC700x - David installed it for me at Horizon Unlimited 2015 event in Mariposa. Worked well all the way home - 900 miles. Glad to have it on my bike. Only thing I changed when I got home was I took a file and rounded the corners of the round activation button. They were kind of sharp and wore on my gloves. I'm a machinist and sharp corners are a pet peeve of mine.

Mike E., 2003 Honda ST1300 - Painless install, used the thinnest shim for my application. I have a problem locking in the ATLAS with my right hand, but I'm not terribly coordinated due to an previously broken wrist.  Once engaged, I am able to disengage with my right hand without any difficulty.

Honda Throttle Lock

Honda Throttle Lock Double Friction Pad

Setup

Clamp arm: Small Clamp arm

Channel: 1st Channel

Friction Pad: Small Friction Pad

Explanation of Install

Either trim the rubber grip flange with a razor blade along the line in the photo, or simply pull the rubber grip flange back to rest it on the outer (bar-end side) of the plastic grip flange. Both methods allow enough room for the ATLAS to mount properly to the plastic throttle tube.

Some of the newer Honda throttle housings are curved. This requires you to use both of the thin friction pads. Adhere one of the pads along the top edge of the stopper. Then trim down the second friction pad and adhere it onto of the first, just like in this photo. This allows the 2 friction pads to follow the curvature of the throttle housing. Now, when you engage the ATLAS, both friction pads will touch the throttle housing.

Setup

Clamp arm: Small Clamp arm

Channel: 1st Channel

Friction Pad: Small Friction Pad

Explanation of Install

The ATLAS Throttle Lock fits the Africa Twin perfectly. If you want cruise control for your Honda Africa Twin, the ATLAS Throttle Lock is your answer. Currently, the ATLAS will not work with factory heated grips for the Honda Africa Twin, but it will work with any other aftermarket heated grip.

To properly mount the ATLAS Throttle Lock to your Africa Twin, simply pull the rubber grip flange back and rest it on the outer (bar-end side) of the plastic grip flange. Now you can mount the ATLAS to the plastic throttle sleeve, between the plastic grip flange and the throttle housing.
